Because unlike American cars they can all go around corners very, very quickly and the natives don't want to be shown up

Hehe. When I stayed in Maine, New England we hired a then-new Cadillac Seville. I think it was only a month or so old (2002) and you could turn the stearing wheel +30 or -30 degrees and noting would happen.

It's a shame about the Soltice from Pontiac, as it was an affordable car with some nice retro styling. I can't speak for its power and handling, but my days of drifting around corners are over anyway. Patty and I were discussing buying two of them next year after my mortgage is renewed.

Opel was supposed to have a version of the Solstice/Sky, but I'm not sure what happened with it.

There are a lot of great American cars out there though! I saw a 60s Corvette in pale blue with highly polished chrome a few days ago which looked great! There was a guy who lived on the same street as me who had a collection of 5 or 6 1950s Chevvys and a Lamborghini Miura which I was pretty envious of!

A couple of years ago, I took a trip in a Sunbeam Tiger. It was my cousins neighbour's "little baby". He took me for a trip one evening. At some lights, a couple of big old 70's muscle cars sat behind us occasionally blipping the throttle as if to say out of the way...............they got a real education that night and as Bill told me to hang on we left the lights and them in our dust. I also I managed not to soil myself in the process A pocket rocket in sheep's clothing 8-)
