Good regional jets or small commercial jets

Postby tcco94 » Tue Oct 12, 2010 5:57 pm

Ive bought the ifly 737 and I already have the Level D 767 which I love. Ive been looking around for planes and I like the Wilco Embraer VJETS v2 but alot of people say stay away from Wilco. So I looked around and found out about the AirSimmer a320 and read great reviews about it. Im looking for a commercial jet that isnt anything bigger than a 737. I would like a commercial jet like an Embraer or a smaller Airbus. I would like one with a good FMC.  ;)

Any planes in mind? Thanks alot.  8-)

Are we talking FS2004?

If so, I've heard that the Feelthere/Wilco ERJ-145 series is pretty decent now.

You could also look into Flight1's "Super 80" (MD-80). (Note, I have had some "Out of Memory" issues with this one in the past.)

Beyond that, I've had a ton of fun with Suprunov Design's Yakovlev Yak-40! (Highly recommended by me!)

Also, while it's not a jet, I wouldn't count out the regional workhorse that is the ATR-72:

If FSX:

It's not a jet, but I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend PMDG's Jetstream 4100. You won't miss the fact that it's not a jet, trust me! It's simply amazing!

Other than that, you could try the following:

Flight1's FSX version of the MD-80 (slightly modernized too)

CLS MD-80:

Yeah were talking about FS2004. I liked your suggestion on the 737 along with Skoker who helped me on facebook tell me the ifly was better deal than the PMDG which is outdated. Ive looked for a review on the Wilco ERJ v2 but there isnt any out because I think its new so they must have fixed the problems. Also they have two bonuses by wilco if you buy it.

I thought of an MD-80 but I wasnt sure...ill have to look into it more. PMDG is known to have good B1900 I think, and there cheap only $20 but not so sure im fully interested in that. I like King Air's though

I have both PMDG 1900s and they are basically just big default King Airs. Default King Air systems and levels of complexity. They're fun, but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for regarding complexity.
;)

If you like King Airs....get the Aeroworx one (sold through Flight1). I have it and love it. Realistically complex, looks great, and is just...fun!

The only reason im not looking into buying the Wilco ERJ Jets is because it looks like you have to pay for the liveries. I want free liveries. I have like a CRJ in picture, any good CRJ's would be perfect.

So I fugured out the ifly 737 today, started it up from dark cockpit, taxi and takeoff hoping to see the frames get better but throughout all taxi to climb it was killing my frame rates! Its laggy when I fly with it, and then I turn my settings down alot and it still laggy. Any help on what I can do. I dont want any frame rate killer airplanes  :( :'(
