I doubt that any members here are associated with that company, but what I can say is that I'm sure that this product is not a full time commitment for it's developers. Besides my assumption of this being a part time thing, if they hit a technical snag, it could be a while. OR, they could just release an incomplete, buggy version now for people that absolutely, positively need to have their product during the originally proposed release time.
Stuff takes time, and technical projects can hit complicated roadblocks. I'm sure they are doing as much as they can to get the product to you with minimal delays, but sometimes delays are necessary.
