727 Pro with CIVA

Postby Gary R. » Wed Jan 11, 2006 9:24 pm

Does anyone know if anyone has done any Dreamfleet 727 Pro panels with CIVA ??  I know Dreamfleet says they didn't do more than the radios for nav because that's the way they were originally were but on airliners.net I've seen 727's upgraded with INS, FMC's and all varieties of boht so that's why I was considering.

Such 727s do exist and however (IMO sadly ;)) none of such avionics upgrades are available for FS yet...
However on the Dreamfleet 727 you do have the option in the Loading interface thing to use a digital LCD PFD instead of the older gauges.  :)

So, I guess if I buy 727-pro I will have to configure it myself with CIVA.  You do know there is a fully functional Delco Carrousel available at Simufly.com don't you?  There are pre-configured cfg's available for many aircraft and I was just wondering if anyone had done one for DF-727 yet.  I fly mostly classic airliners due to a lack of a good drop-in FMC add-on because CIVA is available for free and 99% realized.  It goes great in HJG DC-8's and 707's and in any 727, L-1011, DC-10, or DC-9.  Also works well in Dave Maltby's classic English Iron.  If nobody ever installed INS in a 1-11 well guess what?  Mine has it.  8)

And if its freeware, guess who's going to send me the gauge and panel.cfg?  8)

Re: 727 Pro with CIVANot me

Not me.  I already run a Triple Civa in my OM-Wings L-1011, double Civa in my HJG DC-8 shorties and triple installation in the 60 series and longer.  I run a single in the Richard Probst 727-200 panel and a single in the Yannick Lavigne Falcon 50. I have a single installation installed on my Iron Knuckles DC-9 and a single installed on my 1-11-200 by the well known David Maltby.  I would add it to the 727 pro or the Captain Sim 707 if I ever buy them but with such detailed freeware  panels out by Richard Probst (727-200) and George Carty (707-420) its hard for me to justify spending for the included VC eye candy.
