:D captjim here again.

I just wanted to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all the simmers who have taken the time to provide all of the wounderful aircraft to download.  I have at least 300 in my file.  And another THANK YOU to folks like Hagar and others who provide helpful advice when we have problems.
I still have a few glitches that need correcting, such as getting panels without the planes, or downloading the plane and it dosen't show up, even though the 2002 aircraft section in Windown Explorer says it's there.  I can live with these little problems.  Again I just really wanted to express my appreciation for all the help.  captjim

Hi captjim. I'm sure your comments are appreciated by the various authors. 300 aircraft should keep you busy for a while. LOL

There's usually a very good reason for aircraft not showing up. If the files were downloaded here they shouldn't be difficult to fix. If you have problems with specific aircraft I'll be pleased to help. Just tell me the file names & the page where I can download them. You can either reply here or mail me from the link in my profile. All I ask is, no files over 10 Mb. I neither have the time nor inclination for big downloads these days. ;)

Here's how you download a panel for a plane... First, delete the original panel file in the aircraft you wish to modify... then unzip your panel onto your desktop, add all the .gau files to the main GAUGES folder in FS2002, and add the Gauge.cfg folder to the aircraft folder... that should just about do it...

There's various different methods for adding a new panel. For convenience I usually back up the existing Panel folder by renaming it, let's say to Panel.0. Then paste the new Panel folder straight into the aircraft. Providing the new panel is correctly configured this saves all that messing around. To revert to the original panel, delete the new one & rename the old folder back to Panel.

By using this method you can install any number of panels to an aircraft. With a simple edit of Aircraft.cfg each variation of the aircraft can use a different panel if you wish.
