downloads

Say guys... is it me or has it been practically impossible to get anything downloaded lately?  I have tried for three days to get two files downloaded and the file download window just sits there waiting.

On another issue.... wouldn't it be nice if we could view a listing of complete aircraft only... and not have to filter through all the repaints/texture only A/C, just to delete them after you find out they aren't complete A/C?

And while I'm on a roll here (LOL), does anybody know where to get Barry Blaisedell's original aircraft... because all I see are his repaints.  I know the originals are out there somewhere because I used to have a few in my hangar (back before my hard drive crashed).

Cheers,

I think I discovered part of the problem... I had my firewall turned off... once I brought it back up, Simviation knew what to do with me (cookie-wise).

I think I also discovered something else tonight about FS2k2 Standard, and I'm wondering if this can be.... users of the Standard ver are not provided certain A/C and gauges that the Pro ver supplies.... but if a Standard user was to d/l a Pro ONLY A/C, and then replace/alias the panel, wouldn't it work just fine?  Or am I not seeing something (no pun intended). LOL

Hi Gary. I think that Barry Blaisdell's planes can be found on www.premaircraft.com.

Yes, the only real difference between standard and pro  (apart from the starter GMAX program) is the extra planes and gauges. If you download a Pro-only plane and alias other stuff into it, it should work fine. I have planes from other sims e.g. CFS2 that work fine in 2002 if you do this.
