B747 set course

Postby hiflyphil » Sun Oct 19, 2003 3:11 pm

Hi

I'm sure it's been asked before, probably before my time, but how do you set the course (not the Heading) on your B747  ???

Just one of those niggerly little things, like ye know.  ;D

Cheers
Phil

It's hard to explain.  You have to see it.  Find the course indicator in the MFD and click on it just like you would any other gauge.

The course is also set in the autopilot panel. The course setting is similar to the OBS in the cessna. The difference is the entire course needle rotates to orient itself to the course. The middle segment deflects left or right to show deviation.
