hi there

can somebody help me. i like to change the smoke trail in fs2002 in a way that it doesn

To change the smoke duration, you'd need to edit the appropriate effects file (specified in the[smokesystem] entry in the aircraft.cfg file), which you can do with Notepad. Some of the parameters pretty well explain themselves, and then it's a matter of adjusting the values until you get what you want.

Each effect file has at least one emitter (where the effect comes from), a particle type and a set of particle attributes: e.g.
[emitter.0]
[particle.0]
[particleattributes.0]

Under 'particle', there's a value called 'lifetime' - increase these values to extend the life of your effect.

Sounds complicated, but it's not too bad. Good luck!

Hi Micro...!
When flying the open-cockpit Tiger Moth I found I could never keep my cigarette alight long enough to generate a long smoke trail... :'(...!
My fag kept going out in the draught... >:(...!
