e-Dimension 3D glasses

Postby boise_1 » Tue Jul 01, 2003 11:00 pm

Just curious whether others have had the same problems I've had with the eDimension 3D glasses.

My system = P4 1.7 Ghz/256M ddr/ATI Radeon graphics.

I have the wireless glasses, installed with the provided CD. After viewing no 3D effects in FS2002, I emailed eDimension and received the latest driver (albeit it an "untested Beta"). Upon running FS and hitting 'Shift-O" to enable 3D, there is no change in the image. Nor does 'Shift-E' (to expand the 3D effect) have any effect.

Have any others here experienced similar 'issues' (problems) with the eDimension glasses? All the reviews seem to be strongly positive ...

I have not used them myself, but I've also seen the ads.  My question to you is this....

Who wrote these reviews of which you speak?  Make sure it wasn't someone in eDimension's marketing department, as is often the case with testamonials!

The reason I never purchased this product is because it seemed to me to be to reminiscent of the X-Ray glasses that Bazooka Joe gave away.
Great edit, Bob.

i have...

last week i asked by mail to edimension whether my ATI RADEON 9000 video card is supported.

this was their reaction:
---
Thank you for contacting eDimensional.   Our glasses will absolutely work for you.  Our new drivers work for ATI cards and they are incredibly good, better than any previous 3D drivers ever made.  They are included with your purchase and if you order today, you also get the 3 great games listed on our site for free.  I'm sure you'll be thrilled with the E-D glasses and please let me know if you have any other questions.  We look forward to receiving your order.
---

well, upon receipt i noticed that the drivers were not included on the cd.
upon request they were posted by mail to me.

nevertheless the description tells it is only suitable for ATI RADEON 7200...

needless to say that it does not work on my pc.

anyone having other experience?

I asked my friendly local 'we will replace your faulty #$@% under warranty' and the guy opened the box and displayed all the items and explained how it works.

I said not to open the box as I really was not interested enough to buy it and just wanted to know how it worked.

His reply was that he wasn't worried because the thing was useless, they had sold none and were sending them all back!
White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.
