;D ;D ;D

I had a really good idea for ANOTHER poll. But, you did a much better, (cleaner) job of it.

reminds me of when I was in the 6th grade and working on the school newspaper.

3/4 of the articles the kids wrote were polls

Honestly, they serve there purpose. It's a good way to get opinions from a lot of folks at once.

And opinions help drive this hobby.

Yes, but there comes a point where you start to secretly wish that the creator of the poll would form their OWN opinions once in a while, ya know?

Polls are great, provided they aren't the sole source of your inspiration.

A note to all that are tired of polls, guess what? You don't have to answer them!

Quit complaining, if you don't want to respond to a poll... don't.  If you don't want to read the question(s) that a poll presents, don't.

Don't take something away from people that don't mind answering them... Just because you, the individual doesn't like them.

Read this quote from Fisharno:
Honestly, they serve there purpose. It's a good way to get opinions from a lot of folks at once.

And opinions help drive this hobby.

I think that somes it up.

You're right, we don't HAVE to answer them.  But we do HAVE to see them, and when you log in to SimV with the hopes of asking for/offering assistance, and the entire first page is full of polls, it's time to wonder if something should change.   ;)

I think this was probably meant in a light hearted fashion, so I have voted as such.  I believe polls are best left in the cafe/discussion forums (fora??) as this bit seems to be for fs2k2 faq.

Some polls annoy me and I ignore them but some are great and the answers can be surprising.

;D
We need a break from our joysticks and it's good to intereact with other sims.
I would say though, I think polls should run longer, no sooner than I've opened one than polling seems to finish. And I can't log in everyday and I miss my say.  :-X

(like my views worth two cents  :P)
