I should have learned by now to keep out of these technical discussions. When I see someone say something I know is wrong I just can't help myself.

. I can't speak for the Delta Dagger as I have no knowledge of it or why it was unsuccessful.

the delta dagger was the first delta wing carrier aircraft but teh take of speed and landing speed were too high because of his delta wing and he killed most of his pilot at cat launch or  approch by stalling

I've just sat and read the whole of this thread and before my brain turns to mush and explodes, was I right?

[quote]As far as I am aware, and please remember I'm no aerodynamics expert, Flaps increase lift.

Thanks Rifleman.  I can follow most science at a basic level but there is something about aerodynamics that seems to cause my brain to seize up.

One day I'll get the basics but for now I'll stick to virtual stunt flying.

Well Will, it looks like you got a pretty good handle on it, but don't sweat it too much until you actually get something in the air that is of value.........the Sim is one thing, but outside in the air, is another.....

If you require a further explanation of those posted images, I would be happy to expand on them.......they leave a little to be desired in the way they describe the flap deployment and its effects...............  ???  8)  ;D
