I was reg. under bhofmx and got hit
by a hacker, this is the only site I.m
reg. on, cost $150 to get it fixed. my
computor guy told me to reg. under
another name and address and see what
happens, yesterday I was hit agin, while
uploading the file to you!
My md83 works great and has full radio
functions, you may have a airport problem?
Have you tried another AP?
I did my own reload last night!!!
9 hours, had to reload mother borad and
all the drivers and fs2k2 and cfs2 and
now I lost about 400 aircraft and all
my scerney, 18 months of work,
I'll still check the forums but not stay
logged on unless I'm posting.

Sorry to hear about your problem.

Was it a hack via a port or e-mail?

Do you have a firewall? I'd strongly recommend getting one if not. ZoneAlarm is decent for free from:

It's definitely the radio configuration in the aircraft.cfg file, not the airports.  If you have no radio information you will have a functional radio but you won't be able to switch between standby and active frequencies, tune in NAV2 and COM2, and probably some other anomolies.

If you're using a 737 panel and the 737 radio just cut & paste these lines from the 737 .cfg file.

[Radios]
// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 1
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 1, 1
Nav.2=1, 1, 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

The hacker got in through email
I was sending Webbpa the md83
files and had my system set to
terminate connection and go to
standby when upload was complete
I came back about an hour later and
the file was done but when I tried to
shut down I got "email in progress"
but I didn't show any thing on my end
computor would not respond I pulled the
phone and it said, "connection broken
try agin.
After that nothing worked. I started
checking files and they had been over
written with all kinds of gibberish there
were Russian letters and profain langue
in all the files I checked, the driver for
my graphis card were just gone as well
as my sound card and and all I had on the
desk top was the lower toolbar .
The only thing in my system is FS stuff
I do photo restoration but I don't leave
any of that on the hard drive.
One strange thing I now have an
Advaned logic sound program I
have no ideal where it came from
but it works good, surrond sound and
all kinds of trick stuff on it
I'm going to check out the "firewall"
Thanks for your concern

I have the Pro (payware) version of ZA which includes e-mail scanning. I can't remember if the freeware version does or not, but either way, you'd be well advised to consider investing in a Virus killer with live file scanning.

Norton is a good example although it's payware. You may well pick up a cheap version of Antivirus 2002 as the 2003 version is now out. There's little to choose between them in terms of security - 2003 comes with some handy recycle bin options but nothing essential really.
