auto pilot

hi all im new to this flight sim 2002, but i have a problem with the auto pilot i press the Z key but on some planes it dont always work like planes go hey wire like they r out of control, is there a util which can set auto pilot up auto. also on the cessna when taking off it keeps falling back to runway then just stops

Which aircraft are you having trouble with the autopilot? Also have you got the aircraft in straight and level flight, and the throttle set were you want it, if not then all kinds of weird stuff can happen.
It sounds like on the Cessna that you are pulling back too hard or have your flaps down which is causing a loss of airspeed.

hi thanks for reply yes i think maybe i am pulling back too much on take off, also how do i drop flaps :o

F5 pulls flaps up fully, F8puts them down fully, F6/7 makes small adjustments.

About the autopilot thing, in the Cessna if your in level flight at a decent speed and press Z then you should be ok. It works different with other planes though, like the Boeing has loads of instruments that can be used. ;D
