I am not familiar with PFC, but I figure that products in general are so expensive because they are trying to make up for the time put into a project. Atleast, if I was a designer and I figure my time was worth $x.xx, then I would figure I would have to sell x amount of product at $x.xx price to make up for my time and also have a profit. You figure Gmax is a freeware product with FS pro (cost nothing). But Photoshop is very expensive (around $600). Plus the computer to run the products they are making for the public. Once the costs are figured in and the talent has to be paid also, this is where the cost comes from. This is just my opinion on the matter. Being a freelance graphic artist this is what I figure in. Cost of time, materials and I want to make a profit....
