Paradox?

What are you laughing at?

Paradox?

Postby EchoLdrWolf » Mon Feb 16, 2009 11:12 am

This itself will not be necessarily funny, but the responses will be hilarious.

Only one thing is certain -- that is, nothing is certain. If this statement is true, it is also false.

Yes....or no?

I am "almost exactly" certain there is "not no" validity to the first sentence.  "Almost sure" the answer is not exactly possible.  ;D ::)

Oxymoron are opposites, more in a metaphorical term. Like some from Romeo and Juliet are loving hate, cold fire, bright smoke, brawling love.
I'm doing R + J in English by the way.

Oxymoron is a contradiction in terms...
"Military Intelligence"

Paradox is an apparent contradiction of thruths or conditions...
"I always lie"

Your example is like the following:
"There are no absolutes"
The statement is an absolute, but states there are no absolutes.

But it also applied in movies to Michael J. Fox going back in time to meet himself... Once he does so, he changes time, and can therefore not exist in the first place.

They were stupid movies in any case.
