Why never to deal with AOL

What are you laughing at?

Why never to deal with AOL

Postby ctjoyce » Sun Jul 02, 2006 12:16 am

So this guy tried to cancel his subscripton, and they decide that he infact needs to keep wasting his cash on AOL.

Odly enough the customer service rep is in America.

Cheers

I've used AOL in the Uk for 4 years now, never had a hitch, and the customer service i've recieved has been fantastic. Whether this is a UK/US difference or just an inter-departmental thing I don't know ??? ?

cheers

They're not bad really. But they don't like people cancelling on them. ;)

To cancel easily is just to remove your credit/debit card if you are paying like that

Personal attachments to an Internet Service Provider:

I joined "Freeserve" in the 1990's shortly after they introduced their Internet service.
Even though they have been taken over first by "Wanadoo", and now by "Orange", my account is still my original "Freeserve" account and serves me admirably... ;D...!
My first account was for 56k dial-up, "Evenings and Weekends", followed now by 56k dial-up "Anytime"... ;D...!
It runs faultlessly, and I have never had to contact them to report faults, problems, etc... ;)...!
I just pay them a tiny amount of money by Direct Debit each Month, and connect each day, up to 24 hours, 7 days per week, with no problems...;D...!
...Fantastic...!
As soon as they reduce their price of Broadband to equal the price of my 56k dial-up connection, I will/may change over to Freeserve Broadband...;)...!
..in the meantime...Freeserve Rules... 8)...!

Paul... ;D...!

(I need a "I love Freeserve!" badge...).... ;)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

or rip it up, and set burn to it running in circles saying "BURN AOL!!!! BURN THIS CREDIT CARD!!! BUUUUUUUUURN"  and then wait for the pleasant men in their white coaks to take you away in a dressing gown whos sleeves reach around your back

aaaah bliss ^^
