Why does the easter bunny hide his eggs?

or maybe is my poor english that doesn't let me understand it ???,the chicken has a purporse in this life,to put eggs for humans,why does the easter bunny is so worried about,i dont know, this is hiding a big mistery of life,like who was first the chicken or the egg..... ;D ;D ;D ;D...LOL..
