One question I have that is not answered;
Once in the lower atmosphere he would have been falling at terminal velocity as a normal free fall parachutist, that being around 140mph. Why did he deploy his parachute at around 6000 feet??

Today, my college class was talking about Felix Baumgartner, who jumped from the edge of space down to earth.

A boy suddenly put his head up and said in a serious tone, "I thought he jumped from the moon?"

Several girls concurred.

This is my generation.

This is the generation that is going to pay America's $16 trillion debt.

The jump was an outstanding achievement by all involved.

If you jump from the Moon to the Earth you will likely travel faster than the speed of light in the first two minutes.

This has happened before when the Apollo 13 astronauts ran out of air and had to hold their breath for the entire trip back from the Moon.

This is why he was able to make the entire trip in a little over four minutes (although it takes light a little over one second to travel from the Moon to the Earth).
