I love Mondays

Postby ozzy72 » Mon Oct 08, 2012 3:02 pm

Some Mondays are so good you want to frame them and hang them on the wall.
You solve lots of customer problems and make them happy, then you get a call to go to site for a problem. The site is less than 2 miles from home and you can only play from 16.30 so you get home 90 mins early.
The kids aren't killing each other and you manage to fix a friends computer with two SMSs then you remember there are cold tinnies in the fridge and find motorbike racing on the telly whilst your wife cooks a fab dinner!
I could really get to loving Mondays ;D ;D ;D

Wish my Monday went that well.  Mine started with a runway lighting failure, spent half the morning trying to find a damaged section of fiber optic for a problem with our airfield access control, and had to present the cost to our board for the repairs to our crash truck, among other things.  Just another day at the airport.

It certainly is..............After a check up at the dentist, I have to have my first treatment in about 20 years. Then when I get home I have laying in my driveway around 12 tons of tree trunks for winter heating. So, start the chainsaw up and get cutting. It is all going well, about 3/4 complete and the the chainsaw stops suddenly. Odd, normally when the fuel runs out, it splutters then stops, not just stops. Refill and pull the starter and nothing. Closer checking has fuel being spat out of the carburettor each time the starter is pulled. It would appear whatever this two stroke has for an inlet valve or inlet reed is now part of the piston >:( So off to the shops that sell chainsaws to find out that they only sell 16 inch toys and not a proper 20 inch. So now I have to wait three days for the one I have ordered (I bet it does not turn up before Monday too ::)) Meanwhile, the weather has decided to bring frost in the mornings which means I now have to scrape my car for early shift as I still cannot get into my garage.................. >:( >:( :-/
On the plus side I am getting my hair cut tomorrow. I use the hairdresser my wife uses (bear with me and hold the remarks....... ;D) I have found the world best hairdresser. Not only is she "yes I would".....several times and then still die a happy man if my wife caught me ;D, but she is a petrol head too. None of your what happened on last nights X Factor or Big Brother or what haircut/dress etc some celeb is wearing, but instead, chip tuning, big ends (no joke intended) and conversations about my classic car and what I should do to it.......... 8-) 8-)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
