Hi folks;

No longer have personal internet connectivity so I got into town but have only a few minutes left to use the library computer. Thought I'd say hi and wish you all a good New Year (we all seem to need it) perchance I don't get another opportunity prior.

Thanks for ther replies.
My bicycle trip back that night wasn't the best; all of it in below freezing temperatures (hefty wind chill -- especially by the lake). A chain link broke and the chain snagged in the rear derailler, twisting it off in pieces (a few of which weren't recovered in the dark). Although I never lost footing, the bike fell over; the headlamp mount broke (temporarily bungied it on) and two of the three pedal rim screws popped out to who knows where. I've rebuilt the derailler and lamp mount, relinked the chain and resecured the pdal rim.
...less than minute Best

The main thing is you're in one piece! Having come off a few bicycles over the years I know how much it can hurt!
