45 Most Powerful Images of 2011

No matter what your views are of war, conflict or the riots this year, these photos are absolutely stunning and worth a good look. I don't think death, suffering and freedom has been captured so beautifully before.

I've never understood guys complaining that crying is unmanly.  Excessive crying, sure, but we're all human.  Amazing pictures. A true show of the kind of world we live in, where even though you may be thousands of miles away from other people, you can still feel their pain and share in their fortune and misfortune.

There are some very interesting and very well taken pictures, but I would not go as far as saying that they are the most powerful pictures of 2011. That is just the opinion of one website. I am sure we could all come up with a list and probably not have more than one or two common pictures. These common pictures could then be a start of the list of possibly the most powerful pictures. A powerful image (for me) does not require a description under it to tell you what that image is about. Quite a few, without said description are just another picture.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Not complete without one of these.

Some stunning photos there... ones that struck a chord with me:

Numbers 1, 4, 16, 18, 20 and # 30.

Even though we may see OOM's, 10fps over EGDD, CTD's and the like in our little "world" there are sights and sounds out there that make our "important" issues seem miniscule and petty.

Call me emotionless. But for some reason these days I simply cannot cry :-[.
But I really do feel bad especially for #30 which hppens in our own country while the leaders squabble for more personal wealth :'(
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.
