Postby Hawkeye111 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 7:57 am

Hi everyone - thought I would introduce myself as one of the newest members of the forum.
I hail from Eastern Canada and have enjoyed FS since it was a Commodore program  - I believe that was early/mid 80's.
Since then I have dabbled a bit in scenery design, aircraft modeling/painting and Demonstration team flying as I am a member of the VSB and fly the #8 Opposing Solo Jet. Now , on request, I am in the process of starting up a Demonstration team within my FSNB.ca group and it is slowly getting up and running.
The Simvation forum seems to be a very good forum and I think I will enjoy my visits here.
When flying a 2-engine aircraft and one engine fails, you always have just enough power to get you to the crash scene

I am in South Central Ontario about a two hour drive east of Toronto.
Welcome on board; many years ago I used to lurk in Toronto...
Near the end of the last century, a trip along 401 and 403 to deliver and install short pews in Toronto's Hebrew School; a couple more trips across 401-403-405 to New York state and beyond. Of course, NH borders Quebec but I have somewhat distant, and more distant, relatives on PEI... and my Mom's paternal relatives hail from Mainiacs (a correct spelling of the tongue-in-cheek moniker), unless you wish to go further back to the Irish-Scot origins.

but I'm okay.
Should we list some of your posts to the contradictory (I suppose you mean that Toronto has had no part in the causes)?  :)

Hawkeye111, this is a sim aviation site so, if you perused about, I expect you've noted that we have cause to be a little filghty.

Welcome to SimV. :)

But watch out for your neighbor, Flying Trucker. He can be dangerous when the 'old girl' lets him out and about. ::)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

As always, I feel obligated to warn you.  This forum has proven to be quite habit-forming, and may result in side effects such as nervous sweats, the shakes, and complete mental break downs.  I would like to welcome you to the asylum, your padded cell awaits... ;D

The only thing that Toronto did to me is leave me with an insane love of snow and a loathing of zoos ::)

Shouldn't that be the other way around, or did Toronto really drive you that crazy?

The old zoo had a very long monorail but due to the snow it packed up and we had to walk through snow up to our necks (I was only 4) to get to the zoo and all the animals apart from the polar bears and penguins looked bloomin' miserable.
I don't like the circus either. I just disagree with imprisoning animals or using them for entertainment (unless it is a monkey flinging poo at a TV presenter).
It coloured my judgement a great deal. But I still like snow 8-)
