i know they have massive and dangerous one in the US but some of the smaller ones can still scare the life out of you.

i don't mind them if the are in a web or the realy fast brown ones you always find in garages and i used to love them but some...

at school i was about to wash my hands and i didn't look but i bent over and put my hands i and i was suddenly looking at a big giant common house spider.
i was like:holy ****
someone put it outside but before that bit him.

and in our house we now have giant common house spiders
and one that i could only identify as:bbhfb or:big(4cm)black hairy f****** bastards.
those bbhfbs are everywhere.
just a while ago there where 2 in the bathroom.
i saw a big one (5cm) on the wall and the i suddenly notticed another smaller(4cm) one running towards me.

and there used to be a garden spider(?) infront of our window with a web about 2 meters wide and 1 meter tall
didn't mnd it,but then a storm destroyed the web and the spider died.

tell me about your other experiences.
and do you kill or release spiders?
we kill depending or release depending on the species.

I have a great admiration for Spiders.
Fortunately, in England, although we have many varieties, House and Garden varieties, none of them are poisonous or at all dangerous.

My house is full of them, I enjoy watching them, (and they enjoy watching me!), and they keep me company!... ...!

They mean me no harm, so I leave them alone to do whatever they want to do...with my blessing!... ...!

Spiders are highly intelligent creatures, and deserve our respect... ...!

About 5 weeks ago my spider friendly attitude changed. I was getting ready for work one morning, put my socks on, then my shoes. As soon as I pulled my right shoe lace tight I felt an intense sharp pain on the top off my foot, an incredibly sharp and unbearable pain. I dropped to the floor and ripped my shoe off in near panic, then my sock. Out of my sock fell a spider and it began crawling away, so I killed it and saved it in a jar. This stabbing pain lasted most of the day and since I couldn't put my shoe on, I missed work that day. Ever since I shake my clothing out before putting them on.  :-/

Hey I'm in Venezuela ,there is a vast jungle fill all kind of bugs ,we have some of the biggest spiders of the world like the tarantula

I have no problems with spiders, but if a moth enters the room, I go green, soil myself and leave by the nearest door, window or chimney. Oddly, butterflys

I forgot , sometimes I go 2 hours to my brother's farm ,and like to see a cockroach in Your Kitchen ,its normal to see one of these between 10 to 15 Centimeter ,very poison I can't never get use to see it without jumping freak out all the time

I don't knoew the English name ,It can't be scorpions ,scorpions is a band ,right?

Looks like a scorpion to me. The band was probably named after it, like Crickets, Beatles etc.

The scary looking arachnid in your other pic is harmless.

I once had a roommate that had a tarantula as a pet.

They are harmless to humans, James Bond notwithstanding.

Yes, the entire interweb searches I did the day I got stabbed said most spider bites are painless and harmless. Not. I got bitten in a country that claims to have few dangerous spiders. By compressing it against my foot with a shoe lace it went into defence mode and bit me.

To the best of my knowledge, there are only three venomous spiders in the U.S., the Black Widow, Tarantula, and the Brown Recluse. The widow bite is not usually fatal unless untreated.

The Recluse is pretty much the same, except the bite site can have a lot of tissue damage, especially when not diagnosed and treated soon. In short, the recluse is the worst of the three.

The Tarantula, while painful, is not fatal and won't cause the damage the Recluse will. Having said all that, I have Arachnophobia and will have a fit if I can't identify one as not being one of the above,

especially if I can't get to it to kill it.

The Tarantula is rather large and hairy, while the Recluse is much smaller, and the Black Widow even smaller.

Larry,all tarantulas are venomous. Most tarantulas just don't have enough venom to kill/hurt humans. They do have 1 cm Spike thingy's (forgotten their name) .

It seems South America is the worst place to live in if you're afraid of venomous insects,
Africa If you're afraid of large carnivores and elephants that like tearing humans into pieces ,
Australia/New Zealand afraid of venomous reptiles and kangaroos,
Asia afraid of tigers,
North America afraid of snow
US of America afraid of Warthogs, And Birds that throw you off cliffs.
