I Wiki searched 'cow' and got nearly the same results. I was surprised that no other species were mentioned.
Such as (cow and bull), Moose, Elephants, buffalo?, ect.
That's because you only searched wickedpedia's controversial urban cowboy definition. Try a dictionary -- even the Dictionary.com link above.

An unbranded bovine of either sex is called a "maverick" in the USA and Canad

And suddenly Tom Cruise' character in Top Gun seems less cool.

There was a TV show called Maverick many years ago. 40 years later I find out what maverick means. Unbranded.
I thought I was a bit late finding out with the later movie on TV. Glad you were able to garner that infromation. ;)

I accidentally branded myself with a soldering iron once, I don't recommend it! Smells like over cooked bacon and stings like mad :o :o :o :o

[quote][quote][quote][quote]An adult female that has had a calf (or two, depending on regional usage) is a cow. A young female before she has had a calf of her own and is under three years of age is called a heifer
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.
