I am looking at my mangy mud loving dog right now. She don't look too stressed out to me! Let's see, what's on "Patches" to do list for tomorrow. Wake up your human two hours before his alarm clock goes off because you thought might have to pee. Sniff everything for an hour and come back in the house and give that "sorry boss, false alarm." look.

I was always understanding dog years "equating" to human years at a 1 to 7 ratio. :-?

If my math is correct, which is highly questionable, then 7 1/2 dog years would be 52 1/2 human years..........aw crap.......that'd really make me like 7.125 dog years.......I think.......even though I shouldn't do that either........if I listen to my wife.

Methinks you are s'posed to listen to the wife. :D

Sometimes! ;D

Like once a dog-year or so.  :P

Just out of curiosity, what on Earth are dog years based on?!?!?!?

The average lifespans?
The average running speeds?
The average height or weight increase rate?

reply to H: And H, I still don't know what a solar year is or how you did your math, but if I understood it at age twelve thats good enough for me!!!

Goodly afternoon all... :)

The old girl and I just got home from the large mall in Belleville, Ontario where we purchased several items we could not get here.

On the way home we had to drive through the Canadian Forces Base which is where several of our grandchildren are for the summer camp.

Today will set record highs here in Ontario and the temperature will reach one hundred degrees plus or better by midday with no relief in sight for another week or so.

The Land Rover purred along with the air conditioner on low keeping us very comfortable.

The old girl saw them first, several flights of Air Cadets in uniform drilling on a hard surface parade square.

Good grief she exclaimed, don't they know what the temperature is?  She did not like the idea of those children/some several years younger than a teenager/teenagers and instructors out in this heat.

It is good for them, toughen those boys and girls up I replied.  The instructors know what they are doing I added.

There is nothing wrong with cadet or military training during above or below normal temperatures if done correctly.

Told the old girl she was going soft in her old age.... :-?    ::)

I am getting a cold shoulder and a hot tongue and it is not even supper time yet... ;D      :-X

If those cadets-in-training are like me, they'll be perfectly fine.
Cold really gets at me, but I don't know why, but strangely not even 110* F gets to me. I don't know why.
