Ok, we gave in

Ok, me and missus decided new TV time, one of the old ones in the bedroom was going out.  I now have a 52 inch Sony Bravia LED for a living room TV/computer monitor.  Should make flight simming a little different.

Sounds like it is going to be really fun to sim now.

Enjoy the new screen.

"We're up to our ears in gloaters, we are!  'Let us come in and have a gloat!' they say.  And we tell them 'Oh, you heartless gloaters!'"

Name that show. ;)

I'd like to hear reports as to how a big-screen works as a monitor. How close to it would you sit so as to not see the pixels?

homebrewer,

One thing that can cause that strange kind of behavior (other thn poltergeists  ;) ) is that a neighbor may have a remote that thye are using that is on the same frequency as the one for your TV.

Someone in my neighborhood has the same car door lock code as my car  ;D ::) >:(.

best,

.............john

The tv works great as a monitor.  I am viewing from about 5-6 feet away though, as I kick back on my couch with wireless keyboard, mouse, and extended cable for my joystick.
