Good afternoon all... :)

Would anyone have photos of this great aircraft they could post either in Royal Canadian Air Force livery or civilian livery.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadair_CL-44

The Yukon and the Argus were two aircraft I would have traded all the children and the old girl to have flown but never got the chance.   :P    :-X

It just goes to show how stupid our Canadian politicians were.

Thanks Dave and Doug

We are trying to get one for the museum here and I was wondering if any are still flying?

That aircraft set some great records only to be broken years later by the 747.  Hope you all read the full article.   :)

Back in the early sixties, my mother-in-law rode CL44 jump seat, with Tigers, from Cold Bay AK to Bakersfield CA.

Hi Dave... :)

I say she was one lucky lady... ;)

Almost got run over by an Argus once while flying a Chipmunk on approach...I had to abort...ATC was getting a little nervous I think

I was about to tell the Argus "Navy Fish Heads" to do an overshoot as I was #1 until I thought about it.  I was landing on their Base...for lunch... ;D

If you are ever looking for pics, I love Google's image search.

Just google the aircraft, and then  at the very top of the results page, select images. It will pull up nothing but page after page of images.

When ever I come across an aircraft name that I have not heard before, I do this, just so I know what it looks like.

Al_Fallujah...interesting... :)

I will try that because I do not remember seeing a separate button for "images" appear.  Just different web sites of which many are not even supported now.

Thanks.   ;)
