Any April Fools tricks played on you?

Postby Rich H » Thu Apr 01, 2010 2:41 pm

Being this time of year again, has anyone suffered or been at the hands of a prank?
Unluckily for me, all my friends see it as Richard is a fool day, and about 10 of them have asked me out.
And then my friend told me to ring this number, seeing if her new house number was working, and it turned up to be the local strip club on the answerphone.  ;D

The only fool is the one who tries to fool me  ;D

I can't repeat a few of the ones that have gone on, it probably isn't appropriate for these forums.  ;D

A news radio station I listen to on the way to work announced that Canada has just penned a deal to buy Hawaii for 400 billion dollars.  ::) At 5:30 in the morning they had me suckered in for a few minutes.  :)

None yet. I wanted to steal my Dad's wireless computer mouse, put it in a plastic bag and freeze it in jello. Unfortunatly he's away on a business trip this week.

Hardly an April Fools (and they also knew) but I 'prank called' my friend with an Arnie Swarchenegger sound board.

I fooled the electronic gizmo creators this morning.

I got up at 04:30, shaved, showered and shampooed and started posting.

It took hours before they realized it was me... ;D

Can't figure out what's so unique about an 'April' fool.

So, did you raise your voice to submit an application for your (former) friend?

Pranks should be played when nobody is suspecting them. Naming a day after it and trying to do something 'clever' just has no point.
Except to make some think that a prank is being played when it isn't... which could prove even more embarassing. That is like our census-taking, whereas, the data is referenced to April 1st.
