Creature Crimes...

Postby Fozzer » Sun Mar 07, 2010 1:30 pm

Phew!..... :o...!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8554012.stm

Thank goodness for that!... :o...!

I accidentally stepped on a Snail as I left my house this morning and I was fearful of getting a call from a Lawyer representing the Snail Protection League, summoning me to appear before the Creature Welfare Court, to answer a case of voluntary Snail crushing.

I was extremely fearful, as the Prosecution and Jury was made up of various slippery, slimy creatures, with and without shells, and my chance of an aquittal would be very remote under the circumstances.

If the case had gone badly, I could have been been made to disappear, without leaving a trail... :o...!

Paul.... Proceeding on foot....carefully...;)... ;)....!

...sometimes, the World goes mad!... ;)...!

"People who are fed up with their goldfish cannot flush it down the loo alive - instead it must be dispatched with a blunt instrument* and then disposed.

Laws revised in 2008 state that "social" animals like budgies and hamsters must not be left alone and even sheep must be given "visual contact with their fellows"."

...etc...etc.... ;)...!

;D ;D ;D You made me laugh with the snails. Let's see how it goes with the vote!
Are people prosecuted for mistreating badly dogs? If not, I can see the justification for the vote there.

That is the weirdest thing I have heard. I am just trying to imagine the person who proposed the idea. ;D

;D Snails have a right to use the sidewalks. The wisest city council would propose that "Slow moving vehicle" signs be attached to all incoming snails.   8-)

When you see a snail or slug get sued for eating your vegetables, then we can get 'slime protection' for when you stand on them. Until then... It's the death penalty!

Stepping on a snail is a kindness, compared to dumping salt on them...  ;D

I think there just has to be a line drawn somewhere with this...unnecessary cruelty is pretty obvious ("I know it when I see it"), even in a slaughterhouse.

But there has to be a limit- for example, there are dangerous internal parasites that are animals... what rights should they have?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
