It doesnt look that advanced compared to some old dutch banknotes

Apparently modern scanners do not allow you to scan money and it loads up a webpage telling you not to do it. I've never tried it myself.

Tearing the corner off the note is also a good way to see if it is counterfit as a real note should retain its colour all the way through and fake ones typically go pale or white in the middle of the tear.

I saw a show about money on TV recently (Discoery or Science Channel) and they talked about the plastic Austrailian notes. Very cool concept.

Yeah our money can be put through the wash and is hard to counterfeit, although this one guy just rolled it up, took his beer, and threw the money at the clerk  ;D

He got caught like 4 hours later  :D :D :D :D
