Looks like I'm in for a wet and windy Christmas

Postby glennlcasey » Sun Dec 20, 2009 7:38 am

Well here i sit, up on a remote mine site in the north west of WA, staring at something that most people would describe in a woman...a warm wet whirlwind of destruction (apologies to the females members of this board)

My site is west of Telfer, and east of Marble Bar. We find out tomorrow if flights are suspended. If so, i face Christmas up here on site instead of flying Wednesday Morning. Current prediction is blue alert tomorrow, Yellow alert and shut down on Tuesday. So yeah. will keep you posted

I thought you were fortunate to survive this long until I looked at your map:
I thought that was one really strong storm to blow you across the Pacific to the state of Washington (WA). :o

Obviously, it's stronger than wished, as it is.

gotta love you H...everyone knows that the true WA is Western Australia......lol well that's my opinion. It's pouring down with rain here now, so odds are flights have been cancelled

A few of us would have noticed. Instead of raining like cats and dogs, would it have been dingos, kangaroos, and aussies instead... ;D :D :o
