ok, i couldnt figure out any other place to put this except here.

I want to be able to put hyperlinks in my posts but not have the WHOLE http:// show up.

Replace http: //example.com with your URL and "Click Here" with whatever you want it to say.

edit: Space added to keep it from converting it into a clickable link. :P

The way I do it is to paste in the URL in the usual way. Then type the words you wish to activate the link immediately after it like so:

http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaB ... _Reference YaBB HELP

Highlight the complete thing by dragging the mouse across it before clicking the URL icon on the toolbar above the box you're typing in. This should do it automatically. YaBB HELP
