Google Doodle

Postby expat » Mon Sep 28, 2009 4:53 am

Just recently, there have been quite a few reports about Google doodles. Now Google had to to remove an extra "L" from it's name (as in ell of a party to celebrate it's 11th birthday) because people got "confused". What sort of simpleton or conspiracy freak do you have to be when a company logo is altered (and by Google it is every day, so should be not huge surprise at all ::)) and you spend all day trying to figure out if it means the Martians are coming or "The Man" is going to take one of your rights away ::) We seem to be in a world that has way to much time on it's hands........just wish I had some of it, I would get my "to do list" actioned in half the time it normally takes. Maybe I am missing the point :-[, but I either note the logo and get it or I don't get it and carry on looking for what ever I was about to Google.

The mind boggles. Some people obviously don't get it. ::)

Here's a little secret for those poor confused souls. If you run your mouse cursor over the Googlle Google logo it tells you what it's all about like so:

If you click on the logo it does a search for topics on the subject. 8-) :D

I like the Google Doodles. I think they are small pieces of art, nothing else.

Crash ;) (the Martians are coming, hahaha. They are already here...)

I seriously never notice their logos/doodles unless I read something about it, then I might go and take a look.

I like their way.

A bit of fun, nothing else. And clever to boot.

Plus, they help us remember key events and birthdays. I would never have guessed that yesterday was Confucius' birthday, which is a great conversation starter. 8-)

I love the Google doodles, they just add a little extra. Some of my faves that I've just found:
