It's still not working for me. It says it can't find it and to try again with the correct file name. I followed all your directions.

It might not work on Vista. You can watch the first 10 minutes* here ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lbwqp05U8Yo&feature=related

*I think that should be enough for anybody. ;)

Seems to be working on Vista for me, but I had to solve an error with it... B-Valvs, is it saying you can't find telnet or anything?

Pretty interesting stuff. Again, I'd prefer it with sound but it is still nifty.

Yeah that's what it says.

Thanks for posting that video. Its neat. I'm a big Star Wars fan. It would be better with sound though.

Wow! Can you imagine how long it took to do that? :o

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

You need to go Start then Control Panel. Ensuring it is in 'Classic View' go to Programs and Features. From there select 'Turn Windows features on or off' and then find Telnet Client on the list when it is done searching and check the box to turn it on. Press OK and all that and then wait a bit for it it to start up and then try again.

A light year is actually a way of measuring distance, not time.
I'm actually quite aware of the figures. However, he didn't ponder how much time it took, rather "how long."
I was just trying to make light of it...

I love fun stuff like this... had to finish it right

If we really wanna get right down to it and since the question was, is the statement correct using the thought of TIME in definition.. the answer is actually, yes

If we are assuming the direct grammatical meaning of the statement then we can not just define LIGHT YEAR and ASSUME it was meant to defineTIME however what we can do is extrapolate past the statement which is correct by the way, and define it as time.

Since we went so far as to define LIGHT YEAR we must also define the rest of the words in the statement. TOOK and MANY

If we define the word TOOK and MANY then the statement can become time based

The word TOOK is past tense for TAKE, therefore it happened in the past (time) however we also look for the correct definition of TAKE which fits our statement:

Profit
Get; Help oneself to
Steal
Buy; Reserve
Endure
Consume(d) <------------------
Accept, Adopt; Use
Understand
Captivate, Enchant
Require(d) <---------------------
Subtract
Cheat, Deceive
Contract, Catch

Therefore,

It's from a galaxy far, far away...

I got it to work on Vista! :)

Go to Control Panel, and find 'Turn Windows functions on or off'. It might be in 'Programmes and functions', or whatever it's called on your end.

Scroll down, and enable Telnet Client and - Server :)

Actually, we're not sure he was in this galaxy to begin with... ;)

As I said, "I was just trying to make light of it..."
I was way too lazy to type out a report of the length and time involved.
Nick even had to have a few drinks to go that far.
Since we've dribbled upon the subject, however, you may ponder about how apt it is to use a light year, as defined, relative to celestial time/distance;
the definition of a light year is relevant to travel through a vacuum (definitively, absolutely nil), whereas, we've come to realize that our celestial universe is not truly a vacuum... such a relationship, for the most part, being only in our heads.
