I agree, why would anyone want to eat it in the first place.

And on the subject of methane, nothing can be worse than the aftermath of really cheap beer. It causes a phenomenon known as "Fire Farts". If you live in the US or ever find yourself in the US and want some beer, then stay away from Bush Light, Milwaukee's Best, Natural Light and especially Hams. I don't think Hams was ever intended for human consumption either.
