Heated Politician Gets Mugged

Postby H » Fri Apr 27, 2007 6:44 pm

Key Center, Wash. -- A Lakebay, WA, fire commissioner, 64-year-old Jim Bosch, was mugged by a fellow fire commissioner, 71-year-old Allen Yanity. After repeated strikes, Bosch reportedly sustained a cut requiring staples to close and Yanity is charged with assaulting a fellow commissioner with a coffee mug.
Yanity has accused Bosch of trying to force him off the commission by extortion. Bosch has accused Yanity of intimidation and harassment. While standing with their wives during a meeting break, Yanity's wife, Lanetta, said Bosch was "pushing and pushing and pushing and I told him to just shut up and leave us alone... and if he didn't, I would beat the crap out of him.... Bosch raised his arm, I flinched and my husband stepped in because he thought Bosch was going to hit me."
Yanity pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault and posted his $10,000 bail. He declined to comment after the hearing but had told prosecutors that he "didn't know exactly what happened during the struggle... I might have hit Bosch with a coffee mug."
"They need to figure out how to get their organization in order. We want this stopped before someone gets killed," sheriff's Detective Ed Troyer informed, "Either way, they ought to be embarrassed."

Ahh, the nuances of politics...

I don't really think $10,000 for bail is necessary for a 71 year old  ;D ;D

A little bit over the top ;)

One question. What on earth is a fire commissioner?

Silly old Fellows... :o...

I would require 48 hours notice to build up sufficient strength to hit someone with a Coffee cup... ::)...!

Paul.... ;)...!

Fire Commissioner:
One who organises a fire to take place at frequent intervals, to prevent the local Fireman from becoming inactive and bored.
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

I try... ;)

One question. What on earth is a fire commissioner?
Fire Commissioner:
One who organises a fire to take place at frequent intervals, to prevent the local Fireman from becoming inactive and bored.
The last clause may be officially applicable. The office varies to some degree (Canada has Fire Commissioners, too) but is concerned with the training, operational and informational needs of fire and emergency service in a community; fire safety education programs, fire incident reporting systems, etc.
