Wwe were watching it over a manager's PC on ESPN over the Internet.

Officially, I'm supposed to be happy - after all I work for Siemens.

My feelings towards Argentina are less than positive. They invaded the Falklands and then tried to kill my favourite cousin 25 years ago (they failed thank goodness), then they knocked England out of the next World Cup by the use of hands which isn't permitted in football...
I'm happy for Germany!

I do think that ruined a good game, such a shame some Argentine players felt they had to use their fists :-/

It just shows what poor sportsmen they are. I hope they're banned by FIFA ::) This sort of thing just isn't acceptable...

ESPN didn't do a good showing of the postgame activities.

I did hear the announcer say

"...and amidst all the celebration, a German player is down, and they're celebrating around him!..."

But I did see some of the Argentina players crying, especially the player that shot the last PK.  Pity.

My sisters saw it live in the hospital cos my sis broke her thumb in the car door!
We're so pleased. ;D Bye bye Argentina. ;D I was so desperately hoping they'd lose.

A know a person that was burnt in that ship they bombed in the war... but it's politics....

Trouble is the French, Italians and the Germans have never been the Brits friends either. I feel silly supporting Brazil, so if England get kicked out I don't care who wins.

I don't understand how politics interferes with a game of soccer/football. Agreed while the Falklands conflict/war was like any other war, un-necessary, it by no means that the players on a soccer team had anything to do with it..? I'm sure most of the players weren't even alive when it happened. 1982 was it?

With the exception of the USA once an enemy always remembered as one.  :o ;D
The British media never let go. There is national pride in winning and humiliation in losing hence that is where there is political strife.
But you are right really it has nothing to do with it.
