Calamity to the faithful sweet-bashers of the UK!

Smarties have changed their round tube to a hexagonal one. :( Now I won't be able to fire those lovely lids all round the room now. Plus I might forget my alphabet. :'(

Stupid Nestle. >:( I grew up on these and they form part of my early childhood.

Smarties in the US are sweet/sour type things, like sweet tarts.  I had no idea was you were talking about for a second...???

I heard about this on the radio this morning. Don't give up hope yet. It's quite likely that public opinion will force them to change back to the old tube. Smarties come in round tubes with little plastic caps. Every kid knows that. ;D

M&Ms are American, Smarties are British!
I heard about this today, ruddy Swiss chocolate makers, you can't trust them further than you can spit Switzerland >:( Of course if they send me lots of free chocolate for testing I might revise my opinion (its got to be worth a try) ;)

Give it a couple of months and they'll be in round tubes again. After all, anyone remember when Kelloggs changed the name of Coco Pops in the Choco Crispies? ;D

They also changed the wrappers didn't they - I'm sure they've changed them back now to the original foil now...
