Ok goto this link and about halfway down on the right is an interactive baggage screening test. Load it up and give it a go i do have to give screeners a little more credit in this area.

Two false alarms...but caught and identified all real threats.

23 screened, 8 threats, 100% 3 false alarms. The only thing differant to real screening is, that they have a 3d option these days allows them to rotate a bag without rescreening it.
