Weird, my initial response was that the truck had hit the plane.

This happened for several reasons.  First of all, if the plane had been coming for the truck, chances are the driver would have been able to swerve out of the way.  (This is why aircraft have right-of-way on the AOA.)

Second, if the plane had hit the truck, the damage would have been MUCH worse.

Third, if you take the brain of your average pilot and compare it to that of your average rampie, chances are the pilot is going to have the upper hand.

(I can say that because I am a former-rampie.  lol)

This is debatable. You obviously haven't met some of the pilots I've had to deal with. :o LOL ;D
