She also thought that Kid Rock wearing the American Flag was disgusting,

He disrespected the flag.
# The flag should not be used as part of a costume or athletic uniform, except that a flag patch may be used on the uniform of military personnel, fireman, policeman and members of patriotic organizations.

Guys, he never intended to disrespect the flag. In fact, he wanted to show his patriotism and his love for his country.

So, wearing the American flag is not disrespectful to me and the man had every right to do so. Freedom of Expression.

If I wore the flag [in civilian life] and someone tells me to take it off, I'll tell that person to "Just try and make me!!"

The one thing I find disrespectful is the actual BURNING of the American flag. Even if it is done in a ceremonial way by the military, I still consider it disrespectful. Whoever came up with the idea should be slapped at.

 Boobs are cool.

You know, the guy who wrote earlier about the fact that if the media wouldn't have made such a big deal out of the boob thing, the majority of the people watching probably wouldn't have even noticed, besides that, Janet Jackson has nice boobs and I say show 'em if you got 'em, too bad we live in a country that has so many organizations trying to convince the rest of us that a womans breasts are obscene and should not be looked at instead of appreciated for the beautiful part of a woman's body which they are, people need to lighten up.
Still no linked images allowed around here Paz! Naughty...

And during his performance he also made that clear, buy saying it!
I have many shirts that have the flag on it and I'm damn proud to wear them, if that is disrespective in any way then the ones who belive that are un-patriotic!
I wear those shirts to work and get them dirty, disrespective? I don't think so! I'm helping our economy and paying my taxes, I'm working as a free man in a free country and damn proud of it!!!!! And damn proud to display it!
I'm ashamed at the people who won't wear anything that represents our country because they think it is disrespectful.
I also think that having the flag tattooed on your body to be the most patriotic, it is a permenent reminder of who you are and how lucky you are, and something no-one can take from you.
I find that having the flag on your car more disrespective!!
Allowing it to get splattered with mud and road grime.
So for everyone who belives this stuff that the above link says, remove that pin on you coat (you know you have one) take off that hat, and remove that bumper sticker or magnetic flag, and while your at it take the one off the antena and the one attached to the window of your vehicle oppisite of that of your favorite sports team. Because it is obviously not "Patriotically Correct"

As far as Kid rock is concerned, i dont think anyone should be calling him unpatriotic, hell he is one of the most patriotic people i have ever seen. Listen to most of his songs, or watch the videos. Wearing a flag or wearing some artical of clothing with a flag on both here in thr UK and the US isnt really considered wrong, hell they even put it on underwear these days. But there are some countrys who dont do these things, and it is written and believed to be wrong to do that sort of thing. Its just differant cultures and beliefs, ours thinks its cool to wear an american flag or british flag for a t-shirt. And thats cool, show pride in your country anyway you can.

I've seen Victoria Secret commercials in channels that are made for kids.

I've seen kids in Elementary curse out like sailors and the people there don't seem to mind. :-/

So, you think flashing a boob for a split second is inappropriate? Come down here to Miami and you'll see the true definition of the word "inappropriate". ;D

well this is where parents step in. Any responsible parent would explain that this is wrong. However to many parents rely on tv to raise their kids. And then when something like this happens they get all pissy because tv didnt do a good job of raising their kids because they wernt responsible enough too, or just to lazy to do it themselves. Common sense people. not enough people have it these days. As for your point W4P, only when these things start happening will anyone be able to tell if it really did have an effect. Listen to your local stations to see if its reported happening, then people will finally have a legit claim.

ABSOLUTELY :D

I don't even let my 2 yr old watch Cartoon Network--too violent--I've even seen "panty shots" (upskirts) on this network--PBS and Disney is all he can watch.

Thank you for breinging up the parenting issue--right on the button.

The problem is, there aren't a whole lot of responsible parents left.  And not many people have common sense, which seems to be quite uncommoon sense nowadays.

Re: Kid Rock

First, I don't like the guy to begin with.  He is way too full of himself.  Why didn't he just wave the flag like it is supposed to be?!

Hopefully next year they will have a show in good taste.  They will have to watch the Olympic Ceremonies for an example!

(Olympic Ceremonies are superbly done)
