I never once swore in front of my parents, my wife or my daughter. I respected them far too much for that & I'm proud of it. How many of you youngsters today would be able to say that?

The worst thing I ever say around my mom is 'crap', hardly a bad word ;)

But as far as swearing around her, not at all, although I think i've slipped and used the word 'hell' around her a couple times in the past

She finds the word "Hell" offensive? Bah! I was never offended by any words. I think the censors are stupid because 99% of the time you can tell what the person is saying or showing anyway! But "angry music" is not music, just noise.

These censorship groups are trying to take "Freedom of speech" and turn it into "Freedom of speech as long as we agree with what you are saying".

Exactly what my point was but in so fewer words! Thank you!  ;D

To quote Hagar: " I'm not saying that everyone listening to it would become violent or have these thoughts themselves but I find the whole culture disturbing. The acceptance of this "angry" culture & a breakdown in law & order + a serious increase in violent crime is no coincidence."
I agree, This is why I'm not against the labeling system but against the fact that groups are out there trying to "ban" everyting.
The part that really disturbs me about this "angry music" is the kids who don't just listen to it, but listen to it and think this is the cool thing to do or way to be.
I never listened to a song such as Suicide Solution or Body Count's (IceT) Cop Killer and then thought about going out and "following the instructions". And the reason for that I belive is the fact that I was disiplined growing up, and was taught the meaning of wrong and right , and self respect and respect for others etc.
Same with video games, I can play a game where the point is to go and kill as many things as posible, but it won't influence me to do it in real life.
But unfortanatly there are kids that listen to a artists own personal views on life and get that same attitude or thinking that this is the way to be.
That is the difference between "influenced by music and musical influence".
And if the parents regained the right to raise thier children and discipline them as needed without fear of prison i strongly feel you would see a major change in how kids react to things and behave in general. So maybe the whole solution in the attitude of todays children isn't preventing them from listening to certain forms of music, or video games, movies etc, but to give the parents thier rights to raise their childeren and discipline as they deem fit (within reason of course, abuse is not acceptible!).
The only problem with this solution is the fact that too many parents depend on others to raise their kids! :'(
