HOW MANY GUNS DID THE NIEUPORT 28 HAD?

im working on this model of the nieuport 28, and i cant seem to figure out the right amount (looks like 4, two on the sides and two in front of the pilot) im focusing on Eddie rickenbaker's nieuport..... ;D

It had 2, but they were both on the right side of the aircraft.  Also, I think I should point out that Rickenbacker very rarely flew the Nieuport 28, he usually flew a Spad XIII.

The photos I've seen show the two guns mounted - 1 in front of the pilot, offset to port (left) from centerline, and the second gun on a small "shelf" just below the port (left) cabane struts.

The Nie.28 lasted only 4 months in service.  The French rejected it for service (nasty tendency to shed it's upper wing in high G maneouvers) so they were provided to the US....

Here are basic specs on the Nieuport 28......it shows 2 guns, although they aren't identified on the 3-view, I did find this image showing placement........

Whoopse, for some reason I thought it was on the right side.

uhhmm...Rifleman, where did u get that pic??? (the three views) they look very useful, and it says there they can be enlarged... ::)
