That book touched me is several ways. If I havent known better that book changed my life.

Ozzy,

I just don't see it as particularly relevant to any type of University Course i am going to start next year.  But I have learnt to accept the fact that there are somethings i just have to do.

I know what you mean Poly, a lot of the stuff I was forced to learn at school has since proved be to be slightly less useful than a chocolate teapot!

I had forgotten about Heart of Darkness.  I read it after I heard the Apocalypse Now story.  Moby Dick had a story, even if it was fully predictable after page 1.  Heart of Darkness never made any sense at all.

Actually there is a film of heart of darkness but it was called heart of darkness.

Apocalypse Now is just based on the same ideas and still a very good film.

I remember somebody here recently getting into reading the classics and didn't stop talking about it for about 2 weeks.......
