Good Site

Postby Professor Brensec » Sat Jul 26, 2003 2:55 am

I came across this site. It may be well known but I thought I'd post it, because I found it great for a good assortment of quality photos of warbirds.
Especially good sizes for Desktops etc.

Thanks for the link Brensec. Did you spot this which I find particularly interesting? http://www.thescotsman.co.uk/international.cfm?id=792292003

I also note one of my beloved Hunters crashed in Pennsylvania, killing the pilot. No more details yet but this sort of thing seems to be happening all too often these days. As a warbird & vintage jet enthusiast I find the loss of these rare types very sad indeed.  :'(

This is the old Duxford Times website and is run by Ben Rogers, the guy who took the photo of that last P-40 you posted about. I often check in here. It's not updated as often as it used to be but is a good one stop site for the latest vintage aircraft news and has some good links to other sites.

Sadly Hagar pal, this is the second Hunter lost this year. I have that nasty feeling that this is going to be one of those sad years for vintage flying with a number of fatal crashes already both here and in the US.
