As for new "stuff", I've been playing 'puter games since the 1970's, and when I pop into my local games shop I see nothing there that hasn't been done before.......!
...just "better" graphics....?
...game-play...not as much fun anymore......!

One of the nearest games to that at the moment I would think is the war game, "Operation Flashpoint", by Codemasters.
In that game you can get in and out of various vehicles.
I've got the game, but I can't be arsed with all the shooting, bombing and constantly dying, ...much too stressfull.......!

this game isn't diffcult. you just gotta keep your head down.

One word that sums up one of the best games of computer history.
It was made in the mid/late 80's, for Atari ST, Amega and Spectrum (Foz should definatly know of this one)

I haven't seen so many imitations of this, but the latest is Freelancer. And what a bloody good game it is!![]()
(P.S As a word of caution, don't step anywhere near 'Enter The Matrix' Which I'm about to sell to some poor sod on Amazon :-/, such a huge flop!)
