v deck clemeceau pilotable carrier

Postby spider1 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 5:53 am

Hi, I've got the pilotable carrier and the camera set up, on my (vista) fsx and all works well at the start on the runway but as soon as I place it on the water I get a splash and it crashes, is there anything I need to know, thanks.

You need float entries in the [contact_points] heading of the aircraft.cfg.  Provide a link to the carrier with this issue?

Hi me again I've had a look at the cfg and there is no mention of contact points as it is all about the cameras, there was no actual instal for the carrier but there is a document in the effects folder about anti collision, or something to that effect, excuse the pun,

In the .cfg file, you should have an entry something like this:

[contact_points]
; 0 Class
; 1 Longitudinal Position
; 2 Lateral Position
; 3 Vertical Position
; 4 Impact Damage Threshold
; 5 Brake Map
; 6 Wheel Radius
; 7 Steer Angle
; 8 Static Compression
; 9 Max/Static Compression Ratio
;10 Damping Ratio/Water Rudder Effectiveness
;11 Extension Time
;12 Retraction Time
;13 Sound Type
;14 Airspeed limit for retraction
;15 Airspeed that gear gets damage at
;

I,ve found a file called sim, (cfg) and in there is a section       (contact points) static_ pitch =0.0      ground (+=up -=down     static_cg height =1.0    the ground  and then goes on about speed and direction etc thats it. no mention of water or number sequences
