How do you...........

Postby mcofield04 » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:18 am

How do you begin free flight with the aircraft in the off position (avionics, engines, lights and etc.)? Basically, exactly what it would be like from the time you step foot on the aircraft at the airport gate when passengers board.

Or can you not do that in fsx?

You can park the airplane where ever you want, shut down the engine(s) and save the flight and make it as "the default flight" so every time you open your FSX will show in the time of the day you are and your plane just like you save it  :)

Ok thanks for that info. However, is there anyway that I can do that for every flight without having to save it?

Save it as default one time and it will apply to any aircraft you start in after that.

I swear, this question comes up about twice a week. Nothing wrong, but maybe we could have it in an important topic up the top of the FSX forums, or in the FSX FAQ section. :)

Again I don't mean to complain about anybody, it just saves people making this post all the time ;).

The problem there is, so few ever look there for the answers. ;D They always seem to post here first. ;)

Yeah lazy is the name for it.

Anyway, can't we have a locked sticky with the following heading:

How to start ever flight with a cold cockpit!

Then add the following link:

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2. ... le=CDX.zip

This nice little file starts every flight on the ground as a cold flight.

Just my 2 cents  ;)

Please have a little patience. If you're not prepared to be polite to new members it might be better not to reply at all. ;)

You can have as many sticky topics & post as many tutorials as you like. The very people asking for help on this forum are unlikely to know how to search for it themselves.

Remember, we were all beginners once.

;D My first couple of weeks here, I couldn't even figure out where to properly post things. Every time I would come back on, all of my topics had been moved. :D

Hagar is right, stickies and tutorials are nice, but sometimes you just have to take the time and point some one in right direction. ;)

You are right,But sometimes I hate people that Think this is some kind of a chat place, they come here with their first post ,and they start to write like if this were a msm, skype etc , like" r u" or like the other day this guy came cutting the sentences ,I think this is a matter of respect to the others, This is an International Site that doesn't look well,I always tell them something .

[color=#000000]Alex brings up an important point, which I hasten to add does not apply to the original poster.  ;)

Many people here are not native English speakers; they have a hard enough time understanding proper English sentences...

...never mind all these silly "texting shortcuts..."

Well first off, thank everyone for their replies to this topic. However, I must apologize for because I am guilty for using the "cut words" in my sentences such as "r u". However, I believe that if you have/had a problem with it, maybe you should have PM'd that person and notified them rather than publicly putting it on a topic board. Anyway, I really do not mean to make this  literal "discussion" board on non-aviation topics. So, once again, thank you guys for the great advice on how to do this certain action in FSX.

HAPPY FLYING! :)
