The airport seems to be missing an 'exclude.bgl'. If you download ADE you could put one in and that would solve the problem (permission might be needed from author)or try emailing the author of the scenery and see if there is a fix for it.

Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply, I did email the author and he looked at his setup and he does not have these buildings so I would say that it is something with my setup.

Do you use any other add-ons, such as UTX?

Read my original post, it shows all my addons.

Even when I remove Al Kharj from my Scenery Library and am left with the stock FSX Al Kharj airport the autogen buildings are still there and it looks like some autogen scenery.  The autogen buildings/scenery cover up some of the runway of the stock FSX airport.

It's a process of elimination.  Uncheck EVERYTHING except the scenery in question (create a folder called Al Kharj and add a scenery folder with the bgl inside).  Everything else above propeller objects should be unchecked.  You can add back your add-ons one by one to find the which scenery is creating the autogen.

Since I have added at least 200 airports I was really trying to not have to take everything out and then start adding them back in one at a time.

I do not understand why the buildings show up if the Al Kharj folder is at #1 in my scenery library and everthing else is below it.  From what I understand if Al Kharj is at #1 and everything else is below Al Kharj then nothing should be generated to sit on top of Al Kharj.

The scenery is available at www.sim-outhouse.com in the FSX Scenery section.  The scenery is called Desert Storm AB.  There are two airports included and Al Kharj is the only one of the two that has this problem.

Thanks for the response, regards,

There's nothing in the scenery package that is contributing to the autogen that's showing in your pictures.

I downloaded the package and installed it, no autogen. Removed the package, no autogen. I have no other addon that would affect this area.

I'd suggest looking at any addon land class products that you may have installed as the reason for the autogen.

Default FSX has only the runway and a small airport background area. The addon scenery for "Desert Storm" makes no real changes to what's there in the default terrain.

You don't have to "remove" them, you simply turn 'em off in the Scenery Library!  8-)

My SceneryTech Asia landclass is what is generating the autogen objects.  SceneryTech also said that the Desert Storm airport package is not configured to exclude autogen objects in the vicinity of the airport.  I have emailed the author of the airport and asked him what he thought and if he agreed would he modify the airport to exclude the SceneryTech autogen objects.

Thanks to all who offered assistance.

Tom S, the author, was kind enough to email me an updated blg file for the airport that excludes all objects in the vicinity of the airport, problem solved.

If you are a memeber of Simviation Tom here is a public "Thank You!"
