Virtual Cockpit

I use F10 to go to the "Cockpit" view and F9 to go to "Virtual Cockpit". Due to restricted visibiliy afforded when in "Cockpit View" during landing, I shift to the "Virtual Cockpit" however some virtual cockpit views also have restricted visibility. One virtual cockpit view I prefer was the one where it does not even show the panel - just the entire landscape scenery which makes it easier to execute landing. Is there any way I can convert some of the virtual cockpit views to this type

While in the normal cockpit press the W key this will completely hide the panel and just show some basic instruments, pressing W again will show nothing but the outside view. Then pressing W one more time returns you to the normal cockpit view.
What I like to do is to click on the view tab then select the small arrow Then when i press the W key it gives me something to line up the runway with. 8-)
